When I am chosen as your doula, you will receive:

  • Access to my lending library. Birthing and parenting books, DVDs and online resources are available to you. I have an extensive library because I am also a childbirth educator.

  • Birth Plan assistance. I will answer your questions about different aspects of your birth plan and will help you write them down if requested.

  • 1-2 Prenatal visits (more if requested) I like to meet with you and your labor partner at least once before labor to become better acquainted with each other. At these visits we will explore and discuss your birth plan priorities and any fears or concerns you may have, and to plan how we might best work together to help soothe those fears or concerns. I welcome the opportunity to meet with your physician or midwife at a regular scheduled prenatal visit. We might decide on more meetings and will remain in touch by email and telephone on a more frequent basis as your birth approaches.

  • Email, text and phone availability throughout your pregnancy and 24/7 phone and text support the month of your due date.

  • Continuous birth doula support as soon as you request it. I will meet you at your home or your place of birth when my assistance is requested and stay continuously until your baby is born.

  • Comfort techniques during labor including: massage, relaxation and pain management techniques, positioning suggestions, and rebozo use, plus information about medical procedures when needed.

  • Post-birth care. I will stay after your birth for 1-2 hours and help with initiating breastfeeding as needed. When your family is comfortable and settled, I will leave you to enjoy your new family.

  • Back-up doula availability. In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your birth due to unforeseen circumstances, I have other qualified doulas I work with to ensure you have the support you need.

  • Referrals for post-partum support.

  • One postpartum visit (more if requested) to admire your new baby, discuss your birth, and assist with any breastfeeding and/or parenting questions.

  • New Mommy support. You are always welcome to call, text, or email me with questions!
